Is Thermage Worth The Cost?

Thermage Skin Rejuventation Procedure may be a completely noninvasive procedure that's clinically proven to tighten skin, improve tone, and contour.

This skin tightening procedure functions through tightening your existing collagen and stimulating brand new collagen growth, which means improvements are not only immediately obvious but may continue for up to six months. The procedure is commonly carried out inside a single session that requires between 20 minutes and two hours depending on the location that is to be treated. Recovery is fast, and pain free.

Do I Need Thermage?

As we get older our skin loses natural moisture and elasticity when our collagen molecules breakdown resulting in a wrinkled, lined and dry skin texture.

Thermage Epidermis Tightening Procedure is suitable for all skin types and colourings. The procedure will rejuvenate skin by working with the current collagen making it tighter and exciting new growth. The result shall be smoother tighter skin that will appear younger and less wrinkled or lax.

Ladies between the ages of 35-60 normally possess the greatest and most predictable outcomes, even though a consultation will be able to determine predicted individual outcomes.

How Thermage Actually Tightens Your Skin

Facial skin is comprised of three layers - The outer layer (the epidermis), a collagen- rich underlayer (the dermis) and an internal layer underneath the dermis (the subcutaneous layer - also called the fat layer) that has a web of collagen fibers.

Thermage epidermis tightening treatment is the only non invasive procedure available which tightens and renews your skin's collagen in all 3 tiers. By applying unique Capacitive Radiofrequency (CRF) technology which safely heats your skin's collagen, your skin will instantly tighten and become smoother in texture and tone. New collagen growth will mean that the final results will still appear after a while.

Typically, the total treatment will take from 20 minutes to two hours, depending on the procedure area. General anesthesia is not essential, but to ensure you are at ease the doctor may provide light discomfort medications prior to procedure.

Does Thermage Hurt?

As the CRF power is delivered to the epidermis and underlying tissue a brief deep heating feeling might be experienced. This deep heating feeling can be an indication that collagen is achieving effective temperatures for tightening.

The surface belonging to the skin is cooled prior to, during, and following each application of CRF energy. This will protect the skin and make the treatment extra comfortable.

Post-Procedure

After the Thermage Skin Rejuvenation Treatment, the skin may be slightly red or swollen for a day or two. But most people resume regular activities immediately after treatment, and unlike surgery there is no downtime or special follow-up care.

Following the treatment, you should continue to see improvements to your skin as a result of the production of new and increased collagen, as well as some additional contouring effects due to continued tightening over time. These effects will continue for around six months.

Cost

The cost of this particular procedure is dependent on the dimension of areas requiring cure. After an initial appointment, you'll be advised of the price.

If you have money to spend, invest on this treatment. For now, I rely on eye creams, its effective but takes a while and a lot of patience :)
